Blackwolf Run

Blackwolf Run

"A golf oasis of breathtaking beauty is tucked away in the heartland of Wisconsin near the shores of Lake Michigan, in Kohler, Wisconsin. This unique planned history-laden community and golf center was first envisioned by Walter Kohler, Sr. more than 75 years ago. The courses at Blackwolf Run were created by world-renowned golf course designer Pete Dye. The Meadow Valleys course at Blackwolf Run offers an exciting challenge to the amateur golfer and a daunting dare to the professional. The opening nine, set on gently rolling terrain, is reminiscent of Scottish links courses; the concluding nine shows the influence of glacial carving of the land, with deep ravines bordering a river valley. The abundant river is home to a variety of birds, wildlife, and is a special haven for fly fishermen."1

Whistiling Straits

Whistling Straits

"There are 2 courses, both are spectacular. Very challenging fairways, absolutely beautiful scenery, and perfect greens. However the greens are very fast - the quickest I've seen. Check-in was a breeze, the club house is perfect, and you get a caddie to assist you for the day. The club house has a nice out-door area to enjoy some lunch and a coldie (or 2) after your round, which over-looks the Straights 18th & the Lake. I would not hesitate to return if the chance should arise."2

The Bull at Pinehurst Farms

The Bull

"Built on the former Pinehurst dairy farm, The Bull is the only Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course in the state and was recently ranked the #3 course in Wisconsin (behind the Straits Course at Whistling Straits and the River Course at Blackwolf Run, both located just minutes away). The course has received national acclaim as well, being ranked 4 ˝ STARS by Golf Digest and being named to Golfweek magazine’s “America’s Best Courses You Can Play” list every year since 2005. Golfweek also named The Bull the “Best New Daily-Fee Course in America” in 2005. The Bull has hosted several major state tournaments over the years and will host the WSGA State Amateur Championship in 2010."3
